T01 Architecture + Interiors are a multi-disciplinary studio focused on producing contemporary design with timeless beauty. Established in 2003, T01 (Track One), is made up of design focused architects committed to delivering creative and functional solutions.
The unique needs of our Clients provide the inspiration for an innovative approach to our work and we strive to provide ideas and outcomes to satisfy our clients brief that are not only aesthetically sound but that also meets commercial objectives.
T01 has a broad range of experience in both the residential and commercial realms with a strong focus on residential design from alterations and additions to complete new build.
Our work is defined by a contemporary feel with an emphasis on light, whilst maintaining a level of warmth in the materials and overall space. The team has a warm and friendly approach to design with focus on working with clients on the journey to evolve and develop their brief to provide a comfortable and aesthetically beautiful place to call home.
The practice maintains a high level of commitment to our clients and has a strong belief in delivering projects to client’s expectations. Management skills and client relations are of upmost importance to all members of the team.

Tanya Hancock

Tanya graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Western Australia, with a component of her studies being undertaken at Melbourne University.
After graduation, she worked for a number of leading Melbourne architects on a range of projects from high rise apartment buildings to boutique commercial projects.
In 1998, she relocated and based herself in London for three years and worked for various firms interspersed with extensive travelling throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East, Northern Africa and USA. Her experience in the UK provided exposure to a diverse range of projects from large scale residential apartment developments to high end residential single dwellings across Europe.
In 2002, Tanya returned to Australia and took up residence in Sydney where she worked for a small architectural firm before establishing her own practice in 2003, focusing on residential design.
Tanya has an understanding of the importance of a home being a functional usable space, whilst still being able to attain a pleasing and warm aesthetic with a designed edge.

Angy Ertel

Angy graduated from the Technical University Hannover, Germany with a Diploma in Architecture.
Before undertaking her architectural studies she trained and worked as a technical draftsperson.
After graduation Angy worked for designed focused architects in Amsterdam and Hamburg.
Angy relocated to Sydney in 2002 where she worked for a small practice focused on high end residential design.
In 2003 Angy joined with Tanya and played a vital role in setting up T01 as a young and dynamic architectural office. She has been a key player in the practice ever since and has contributed to the success of T01 over the years.
Her extensive European experience and background provides an international influence and approach to design.

Claudia Hutcherson
Project Leader
Claudia graduated with a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Technology, Sydney and has been a valuable team member of T01 since 2009.
Prior to joining T01, Claudia worked with a number of renowned Sydney architects with a strong focus on high-end residential design.
Claudia has a keen interest in all aspects of the design process, with a particular focus on attention to detail required for luxury residential projects.
She believes proactive interaction with clients, consultants and builders is paramount to the success of a project.

Larry Allport
Building Consultant
As a qualified carpenter and an experienced builder, Larry has become an integral part of the T01 team.
Working on a consultancy basis, Larry provides the team with construction knowledge and advice for projects, and assists with the refinement of building details.
With a good understanding of design, he is able to facilitate in evolving designs into a practical outcome.

Sonny is the most recent member to join the T01 office. The youngest player of the team, he is happy to just hang out and watch everyone go about their business, whilst slowly developing an eye for design.
